What Up!

So I changed some things up a bit. I figure I would use the background that I made that will eventually make it on to my professional website (whenever I finish it). Makes some sort of theme or something. Hmm maybe I shouldn't...I say some things on here that I wouldn't want my employer to read, and having everything match would make it kind of hard to refute my existence on this page. Maybe I should treat it like I do my nose ring...you don't wanna hire me because of it, then I didn't wanna work for you anyway. Prick.

It's been a while. So I've officially decided (/they started sending me official emails) that I AM definitely graduating, so I've been looking into purchasing all the crap that goes along with graduating. I started looking at Signature Announcements because they sent me something in the mail. All the crap I wanted came to about $117. They are pretty nice announcements though. I also was looking into Herff Jones Photography, because they took the pic that's going into the yearbook. Ten sheets of photos for $234 (with s&h) was what my mom thought was the best pick. Then there's the ring from Balfour. Now I realllly like the rings they have...the traditional one in silver with the blue stone with GT on it in size 4.75 (I have small ass fingers!) would have been PERFECT! And $315. For a ring. If you need to spend that much on a ring I'd rather it be my engagement ring...and for those who argue that and engagement ring should cost more than that haven't met me, because I don't want all that much. Just pretty, simple, cute, and if possible, meaningful.

Anyway, so my alternatives to this pricey conundrum are as follows: I could get announcements form Balfour, which cost $90 or $120, at which point I should just go with Signature because I would get more stuff. OR, there's the GT bookstore, which has some in packs of 10 for $20. OR, I could go for something from somewhere like the Hallmark store, or off of my printer. So far I'm gonna pick the bookstore...they have the seal on 'em and that works for me. As far as the pictures go, I was gonna go for ten sheets from somewhere like Sears for $130, but then my awesome beau reminds me that his dad is a professional photographer. DUH! The ring, I think I'm just gonna give up on, which sucks, but is probably better for me in the end. I don't I wanna spend that much money on one and I'd rather the people who said they would help buy it either give me money (I have to move a month after graduation) or save it for a ring that goes on the other hand (in size 4, once again small ass mismatched fingers).

Oh, and the cap, gown, and tassel are about $42, non-negotioable. So I've gotta spend at least $102, which isn't bad at all. Yaay!

Other than all of that I've been going through midterms. I got an A on my senior design project presentation (yaay!), a C/C+ on my Ren Lit test (slighty less enthusiastic yaay!, but I didn't read as much as I should have so I'm happy for any passing grade), and I have to take my Film History test on Wednesday (boo!). I think I'll have that one in the bag though, just need to do some more catch-up reading. Wish me luck!
