Nostalgic Future

So, we go to lunch at the Blue Willow Inn to celebrate my birthday, let our baby go off with the grandparents so we can take a nap, miss the party we wanted to go to (>_<), pick her back up, and now, I'm hungry. I go look in the kitchen to find sustenance and behold, the packets of Ramen. I'm one of those fortunate enough to understand the power of Ramen noodles before going to college. I have already perfected the highly salted noodle delicacy. I still picked up recipes on the way, and tonight, I decided to pull one out. Beef Ramen con smoked sausage bits. Well, the one in college involved summer sausage bits, but the idea's the same.

Beef, it's what's for dinner....

I'm making the Ramen and thinking about how awesome it was in college to be the chick with the microwave and the big dorm fridge. You know, the one you'd always get a guy to help you move. Well, not only did it help out anyone who was a roommate of mine or anyone who visited my room, but they were just overall very convenient to own. As a freshman I learned that I didn't need to spend money on a meal plan anymore. All this got me thinking about how cool it's going to be when we send Chloe off to college, with the approved appliances she can have in her dorm room.

Man, kids make you think about the darndest things...
