Fire Fueled By Fire, Doused With Air

I've now said this comment a couple of times and I'm sure that someone may want some explanation. Or not. I could care less because I want to explain it anyway.

I don't who knows this about me but I've recently discovered a liking for Paganism. Before you go all uber-religious on me know that I still align myself as a Christian (all of this had to happen somehow, and for the time being I choose to believe that God is that reason and honestly, I really think that all of us who believe in a religion believe in essentially the same thing, but that's for another discussion), and no matter what you tell me about how Paganism is devil worship and whatnot do some real research. Those who are atheist, just don't talk to me about religion. Please. This is my personal choice, that is yours, we're over it, its squashed.

*stands on soapbox* CHRISTIANITY IS NOT THE OLDEST, END ALL BE ALL RELIGION!!! (period) It borrowed a whole lot more than you think and if you take a look at a lot of your precious holy holidays they center around special days on the Pagan calendar, AND there's pretty good evidence that Jesus's birthday ain't even in winter. So there. READ A BOOK. Hell, READ THE GOOD BOOK....FOR REAL! *steps down*

Alright, so in my quest to learn more about what Paganism is I found a friend who is Wiccan and she did a natal chart for me. I'm not saying that I align my life with what people say they can find in the stars or that astrology is the way to live your life or any of that, but I do find coincidences when its done right and I am entertained by those coincidences. Most of the time I wont even read my horoscope until the day is over, so I wont even be tempted to make what it said happen or to look for it. I let my life happen and then  I reflect on it, which can be quite entertaining at times. So anyway, my sun sign is Sagittarius, my moon sign is Aries, and my rising sign is Gemini.

Sun Sign:

The sun sign is the most important sign and is often what people most identify themselves with. Although it usually holds the most characteristics of a person, their moon and rising signs often also unlock the rest of what is within them. My sun sign is Sagittarius. I have always seen a lot of the characteristics of this sign in me...the biggest being my free spirit. I tend to be quite spontaneous and if I want to do something, I'm going to do it, no matter what someone tells me. I can be a bit reckless though and I usually want to do things that other people think are crazy. But, I'm usually fun to have around. This is a fire sign.

Moon Sign:

For those who didn't know, there is also a moon sign. It works more on what's going on inside of you and your emotions. My moon sign is Aries. I always felt very strongly about matching with my sun sign, and my moon sign completely backs up everything in my sun sign. Just about everything I've read about the good and bad of having my moon sign be in Aries is true. This is also a fire sign.

Rising Sign:

The rising sign is also very important to who you are and is often the first impression people have of you. Mine was actually really hard to chart when my friend tried to do it because it rested right on a line. I was right between Gemini and Cancer. We decided to look up the characteristics of both rising signs and do a few more calculations and came to the conclusion that I was more aligned with Gemini. Reading over the characteristics of Cancer...I do exhibit some of them (like needing to warm up to people and liking to collect things and help people be better for their own good), but not as much as I do Gemini (the duality, not liking schedules, liking space, and the tendency to be a "jack of all trades but master of none"). I think I am a little of Cancer rising and a whole lot of Gemini rising. Gemini is an air sign (and a hot mess).

All together, I am fire fueled by fire, douse with air. Despite the fact that I'm more than likely digging for the metaphor I've been throwing out there, I'd say its a pretty deadly combination of a person. Fire is already not easily controlled, and I have fire and fire burning with each other on both sides. Not to mention that air is involved, which is a component of fire and fuels it. Without air there could be no fire. I'm. A. Mess. Ok, but really though, trying to control will get you absolutely no where. None of what is in me screams that I like anything to do with control. Its not that I don't like or can't deal with authority either...I don't mind authority, it just has to be handled correctly.

Anyway, that was more about me.

I'm weird.

Get over it.
